Aircraft Parts Condition Codes

Understanding aircraft parts condition codes helps prevent mix-ups.

The following aircraft parts condition codes are commonly used in parts procurement.

Condition Code / Description

NE – New Equipment: Brand-new item, unused, and delivered in original condition.

FN – Factory New: Newly manufactured by the OEM with no prior use.

NS – New Surplus: New, unused item originally produced as surplus stock.

AR – As Removed: Removed from service with no testing or certification performed.

SV – Serviceable: Tested, certified, and approved for return to service.

OH – Overhaul Condition: Fully overhauled and restored to approved service limits.

OH CAP – Overhaul Capability: Item eligible to be overhauled to serviceable condition.

RP – Repairable: Requires repair before it can be returned to service.

RP CAP – Repair Capability: Item eligible for repair to meet serviceable standards.

Any Cond – Quote Any Condition: Pricing provided regardless of condition or status.

US – Used Surplus: Previously used item removed from service and held as surplus.
